Privacy Policy
How Scorivo handles information when you browse the site or suggest a comparison.
Scorivo is an independently operated personal publication designed to collect as little personal information as reasonably possible. This policy explains the information processed when the site is operated.
Information we process
When you browse the site, normal web-server and security infrastructure may process technical information such as IP address, request time, browser or user-agent information, requested URLs, and security events. These records may be retained for security, reliability, fraud prevention, debugging, and abuse investigation.
When you submit a comparison request, we store the two names you provide, the request status, timestamps, and a one-way keyed hash derived from the network address used to submit the request. The raw network address is not stored in the comparison-request record. The hash is used for rate limiting and abuse prevention.
Comparison requests and AI processing
Comparison requests are reviewed by an administrator before any AI research starts. If approved, the requested product or entity names may be sent to OpenAI and used with public-web research to generate an article. Do not submit personal, confidential, proprietary, sensitive, or secret information through the comparison form.
Cookies and Google Analytics
The site may use strictly necessary cookies or similar mechanisms required for security features such as CSRF protection, sessions, and administrator authentication. Scorivo does not require a public user account to read research or submit a comparison request.
If Google Analytics is enabled, it is optional and is loaded only after you choose Accept analytics. Google Analytics may process usage information such as page visits, session statistics, approximate location, browser/device information, and a pseudonymous client identifier stored in first-party cookies such as _ga. If you decline analytics, Scorivo does not intentionally load the Google Analytics tag for that visit.
Scorivo uses analytics for aggregate traffic measurement and site improvement, not to intentionally send names, email addresses, comparison-form contents, or other user-provided personal information to Google Analytics. Advertising personalization and Google Signals are disabled in Scorivo's analytics configuration. Your analytics choice is stored locally in your browser so the site can remember it; you can reopen Cookie settings from the footer and change the choice.
Public content
If an approved request results in an article, the resulting research, product names, analysis, scores, and source links may be published publicly and indexed by search engines and AI discovery systems. The site does not intentionally publish the requester's raw network address or the abuse-prevention hash.
Service providers
Infrastructure providers, security/CDN providers, hosting providers, AI providers such as OpenAI, and—if you accept optional analytics—Google Analytics may process limited information as necessary to provide their services. Their handling of information is governed by their own terms and privacy practices.
Retention and security
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for publishing operations, security, abuse prevention, legal obligations, and dispute resolution. Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law and your location, you may have rights concerning personal information, such as requesting access, correction, deletion, restriction, or information about processing. Requests may be subject to identity verification and legal exceptions.
Children
The service is intended as a general product-research publication and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. Comparison requests should contain product or platform names only.
Changes
This policy may be updated as the service, technology, or legal requirements change. The current version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
